A Weekend of Firsts: Family, Faith, and New Beginnings

This weekend marked an exciting beginning for our family as we took the first steps into a new journey—starting delivery driving with Spark. My husband officially began yesterday, and I’ll be joining him as soon as possible. We were inspired to choose Spark after hearing great reviews from several people we know who are already doing it. Their positive experiences gave us the confidence to dive in.

Yesterday, we all piled into the car for a quick trip to the store, followed by a fast food stop on the way home. The kids weren’t entirely thrilled with the extended car ride, but they definitely perked up once they got their food. It was a simple outing, but spending that time together made it the most meaningful part of the weekend for me.

Today started off on a cozy note—I made homemade cake-style donuts from scratch, and they turned out delicious. After breakfast, we headed to church, where we read Romans 12. The entire chapter spoke to me in a powerful way and made the service especially memorable.

Lunch was homemade General Tso’s chicken, and shortly after, we sent my husband off with well wishes for his first day of delivery driving. The kids missed him while he was gone, but overall, the day had a good rhythm. He returned just before dinner, full of positive energy and helpful tips for when I start driving myself.

Throughout the day, I managed to keep up with chores—dishes, laundry, and tidying up toys. I also called some family members who live farther away to share the good news about our vehicle situation. It was a huge blessing, as it means we’ll be able to visit them soon.

Tonight, I’m settling in to work on new products for my Zazzle page. I’m especially excited about a calendar project I’ve been planning, and I hope to finish it by the end of the week.
